-Cheap

Yay:
-Fried beancurd skin is extremely crispy- probably the most popular item
-Vegetables added to many dishes e.g. cabbage fried together with egg- a healthier mix

Nay:
-Texture of soy bean sprouts is more chewy- may be difficult to get used to


Overall rating: 3.5/5 stars



Chicken Fuyong (Japanese Cuisine)

Yay:
-Affordable
-Taste wasn't too strong
-Set comes with soup
-Efficient service

-Cheap

Nay:
-Same variety on most days


Pasta Express

Yay:
-Cheaper compared to other stalls outside

Nay:
-Taste of pasta is rather different on different days

Bolognese Pasta


Price: $4.30 (+$0.20 takeaway)

Yay:
-Get to customise your own pasta base and toppings
-Well seasoned bolognese sauce, not too overpowering
-Juicy mushrooms go well with garlic and sauce
-Hard boiled egg refreshing by itself; have it together with mushrooms and garlic for great texture

Nay:
-Serving size can be slightly larger for larger appetites (alternatively, pay an additional $0.80 to upsize to regular portion)
-Some remains of cartilage of minced beef was present

Carbonara


Price: $4.30 (+$0.20 takeaway)

Yay:
-Superior texture in bacon
-Baby spinach- a refreshing uncommon addition to western cuisine itself
-Carbonara sauce goes well with hard boiled egg- similar to egg mayo

Nay:
-Mushrooms were less flavoursome compared to other combos like bolognese

Lemon Cutlet Chicken Rice

Yay:
-Very cheap and worth it compared to other chicken rice stalls
-Filling; reasonable serving size


Nay:
-Egg could have been seasoned better probably with a little more dark soy sauce

-Carbon, protein and taste in one plate
-Healthier way to cook the food

Yay:
-Good variety of sauces, fruits and nuts
-3 toppings for the medium size so customers can customise their favourite toppings
-Quite healthy
-$0.40 cheaper than non-campus outlets

-Taste pretty normal

Yay:
-Good variety of dishes (fish, veg, pork, prawn)

Nay:
-kind of plain, had to compensate it with lots of green chilli

- Consistent good taste
- Adequate amount of fish and vegetables
- Comparable to stalls outside

Nay:

- Fried fish is more oily than sliced fish

Yay:
- Good food quality
- Moderately fast service
- Chef specials change almost daily- keeps it refreshing and exciting
- Recommendations: fragrant aglio olio and occasional garlic fried rice

Nay:
- A little oily for fried food and sauces
- More expensive

Overall rating: 4/5 stars

    Yay:
    -Food is unique, different from your typical zi char
    -Lettuce helps to reduce the oily taste in the seasoning
    -Resembles Pepper Lunch a little in terms of sauce to be mixed with rice

      Nay:
      -Sufficient serving size but may be too large for some (reasonable to the price though)
      -Not for those who dislike chicken skin (there was plenty inside)
      -Sauce was somewhat too salty
      -Ready made fried egg does not complement or enhance the overall taste


      Overall rating: 3/5 stars


      Lemon Chicken Rice

      Price: $2.80 (+$0.20 takeaway, + $0.50 extra egg)

      Yay:
      -Reasonable serving size
      -Cutlet was very crispy and meaty

      Nay:
      -Cutlet was pretty salty and lacked the lemon flavour
      -Braised egg lacked taste
      -Cucumber lacked texture

      Yay:
      -Portion of food was sufficient
      -Noodles were tasty!

      Nay:
      -Could consider giving more ingredients
      -Taste of MSG was a bit too much

      -Very cheap and worth it compared to other chicken cutlet rice elsewhere (even cheaper than in North Spine)
      -Filling; reasonable serving size
      -Pretty standard taste
      -Lemon sauce was in a suitable amount and complemented well with cutlet's crispiness
        Nay:
        -Egg could have been seasoned better probably with a little more dark soy sauce

        Overall rating: 4/5 stars

        -Chicken portion is filling, grilled to perfection
        -Fries are not too salty, chunkiness is a plus point

        Nay:
        -Mushroom sauce overpowered the taste of the chicken
        -Not easy to cut the chicken
        -Good to have more veggies

        Tom-Yum pasta with prawns, mussels and squid

        Yay:
        -Generous portion
        -Mixture of thai and western cuisine
        -Unique taste for pasta

        Nay:
        -Too spicy for those who aren’t very good at eating spicy food
        -Too salty which covers the sour taste of tom yum

        Overall rating: 3.5/5 stars


        Pan-Fried Dory with wasabi mayo, butter raisin rice and salad

        Price: $6
        Yay:
        -reasonable serving size
        -well-cooked meat
        -refreshingly tangy masabi mayo covers the fishy smell which most abhor

        Nay:
        -a lack of crisp in the outer skin
        -serving size of rice was too small
